Orlando Dreamers unveil new renderings for proposed MLB ballpark
The Orlando Dreamers have unveiled updated renderings for a proposed 45,000-seat domed ballpark as the group continues its push to bring a Major League Baseball expansion franchise to Central Florida. The group is seeking $975 million in Orange County tourism-tax funding toward the stadium and surrounding mixed-use development, with the overall project expected to cost more than $2 billion. Broncos unveil mixed-use vision for Burnham Yard
The Denver Broncos have unveiled updated master plan renderings for the mixed-use district surrounding their proposed new stadium at Burnham Yard, featuring four neighborhoods with housing, retail, workplaces, public spaces and improved pedestrian and transit connections. The team is targeting the 2031 NFL season for completion of its new retractable-roof stadium, with the surrounding district designed to turn the former railyard into a year-round destination. Hearts of Pine plan $50M waterfront stadium in Portland
USL League One’s Portland Hearts of Pine have agreed to acquire land at Cassidy Point in Portland, Maine, for a proposed 9,000- to 11,000-seat soccer-specific stadium overlooking the Fore River. The predominantly privately funded project is expected to cost more than $50 million, with construction targeted for 2027 and an opening in early 2029; the stadium would house both the club’s men’s team and its women’s side, which begins USL W League play in 2027. Royals Ballpark district clears Kansas City zoning hurdle
The Kansas City Plan Commission has unanimously approved rezoning Crown Center for the Kansas City Royals’ proposed $3 billion ballpark district, allowing planning for the 85-acre development to move forward. The approval comes with conditions addressing issues including traffic, parking and pedestrian access, with additional city approvals still required before the project can proceed. Read more here.

Jaguars add counter-drone protection at EverBank Stadium
The Jacksonville Jaguars will deploy counter-drone technology for home games at EverBank Stadium, giving authorized law enforcement the ability to detect, identify, track and locate the pilots of unauthorized drones within seconds. The portable Cyber-over-RF system can also take control of a drone and safely land it when authorized, without relying on jamming or kinetic measures, following deployments of the technology at multiple venues during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. AI security technology targets weapons outside NFL stadiums
PerVista AI is deploying artificial intelligence-powered security technology at Northwest Stadium and Mercedes-Benz Stadium to detect potential firearm threats in parking lots, tailgating areas and other spaces outside the venues. The system analyzes video for matches against a firearms data set, with potential threats sent to a 24/7 operations center for human verification; PerVista says it looks for weapons rather than identifying individuals and does not retain imagery unless an incident occurs. Flying Squirrels upgrade production with Grass Valley cameras
The Richmond Flying Squirrels built their new CarMax Park production workflow around Grass Valley LDX 110 cameras, supporting game coverage, LED programming, live entertainment and multiplatform content throughout the ballpark. The system includes fixed positions and a mobile camera that can move around the 360-degree concourse while maintaining consistent picture quality and integration with the control room, with the club already planning to add a second mobile unit. Columbus Crew unifies stadium displays with Uniguest Sports Hub
The Columbus Crew is using Uniguest Sports Hub to manage IPTV, digital signage and content across more than 550 endpoints at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field. The centralized platform powers live video, sponsor content, hospitality displays, digital menu boards integrated with the venue’s point-of-sale system and operational communications throughout the stadium. LG expands Dodger Stadium LED footprint in new Dodgers partnership
LG Electronics has signed a three-year technology and marketing partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, building on its deployment of 771 feet of direct-view LED ribbon displays at Dodger Stadium. The outdoor displays span the Reserve Level, Field Level and Top Deck, delivering game information, statistics, entertainment and sponsor content, with ANC working alongside LG on the stadium technology program. Jets, Outfront take sponsorship beyond MetLife Stadium
The New York Jets and Outfront Media have signed an exclusive multi-year partnership that lets Jets sponsors extend campaigns beyond MetLife Stadium across Outfront’s outdoor and digital network, including transit hubs, commuter routes and other locations throughout the New York region. The agreement also connects in-stadium sponsorships with digital campaigns that can be updated in near real time around games, player milestones and other sports moments. Read more here.
